The Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Coalition partners with "Children Matter," founded by Deb Diener, RN BSN CLNC, for a special project she started called the "Beary Brave Bear Brigade." We collect new and gently used cuddly teddy bears to be distributed to groups and organizations that serve children who could use some help being brave. Children who have to be interviewed by professionals or testify in court can be comforted by holding a friendly bear. Each bear is tagged with a special card that has an encouraging poem by Deb. If your group or organization wants to be a collection point for the bears, or has need of donated bears, please contact us.
Thank you to all who have donated bears, as well as to our supporting collection sites:
The Times-News, LifeWay Christian Store of Burlington, The Cork and Cow, Betty's Special Touch Salon, and Women's Resource Center.

*The boxes have been taken in for now, as donations slowed and needs were met. They'll go back out when the bear supply runs low and it's time to ask for more donations.
